Come join other lady Rotarians (or spouses of Rotarians) for a fun filled afternoon. Light appetizers and drinks will be served.

Here's how to jump in on the Sweet Treat Exchange fun:

Option 1.) Bake 2 dozen of your favorite cookies/sweet treats and bring a copy of your recipe! These items will be placed on the home-made table.

Option 2.) Not a baker? That's ok, swing by your favorite local bakery and pick up 2 dozen yummy treats. These items will be placed on the Bakery-made table.

This way everyone can enjoy/take home some sweets!

It's time to do our community service burger cookout for the hardworking FFA students.  We will be serving the FFA students, faculty, etc. and strivinge to be serving no later than 1pm.

We need a pick up at HEB team, cooks team, set up team, serving team, and a clean up team.  You may sign up for more than one team.  The pick up team will probably need 2 pickups.  It's still possible HEB might deliver since they own Favor but not sure yet.

Our serving time will be from 1pm until about 2pm.  The serving team will also be responsible for clean up and trash pick up..  There are time slots on the sign up genius.  Go to this link to sign up.   We need a cooks team, set up team, serving team, and a clean up team.  You may sign up for more than one team.

“Hunger has no ears,” so people have a difficult time hearing the Gospel when they are hungry. A Packathon is a two-hour, hands-on service opportunity for anyone ages 5 to 105. It is a truly rewarding event and will bring people together in a way your community may have never seen before. Beyond the event, your work will go toward providing Feed the Hunger meals for the local community, as well as at-risk children nationally and internationally.

Take Me Fishing – Hutsell Elementary

We have lots of different areas for Rotary Club members to volunteer at.

• Door prize area: Where door prizes (most of which are purchased by the Rotary Club) are handed out to our students as they are leaving. I believe that Rotarian volunteers would love to be able to hand out prizes that come from the money that yall generously donate 😊
• Pond Walkers: Who walk around while our students are fishing and they help them take fish off hooks and take them to get measured.
• Measuring Stations:  Volunteers will measure the fish and record its data.

Any of these volunteer positions will be great for Rotarian volunteers it just depends on each person’s level of comfort!

During “Take Me Fishing Hutsell” students arrive with their parents and other family members for a morning of aquatic adventure. Students enter Mary Jo Peckham Park in Katy, Texas, and register with volunteers from Hutsell. After registering, families are escorted to a safety station where Texas Game Wardens provide educational tips and safety procedures. At the safety station, they also enter for a door prize drawing. Students can win fishing poles, tackle boxes, and various coupons donated by local businesses and restaurants. 

Students and families can borrow free fishing equipment to use during the morning, courtesy of Texas Parks and Wildlife, Fishing’s Future, Katy ISD, and Hutsell Elementary. After checking out fishing equipment, families can then take some bait to use. Hotdogs, chicken hearts, earthworms, and chicken livers are donated by local businesses so students can be able to fish for free. Texas Parks and Wildlife also signs a waiver which means that no participants need to purchase a license for the duration of TMFH.
