Formed in 1946, the Rotary Club of Katy, TX., has a diverse membership of 30 business and professional men and women. The club is part of Rotary International with approximately 1.2 million members belonging to more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. The Katy Rotary club meets each Thursday at noon at Hasta La Pasta to enjoy a great meal, camaraderie, and to plan activities and fund-raisers for Rotary causes and ideals. We invite all interested individuals to come to a meeting, see what membership in Rotary means, and learn how we contribute to our local and international community (all while having a great deal of fun).

The 4-Way Test

  • Is it the TRUTH?

  • Is it FAIR to all concerned?

  • Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

  • Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

A plan to build an innovative playground in the City of Katy for multiply impaired and profoundly deaf children was unveiled to the community in early November. The City of Katy Parks and Recreation Department and the Houston based non-profit organization Be An Angel, have teamed together to build a 13,000 square foot playground facility, specifically designed for handicap children. The all-inclusive playground will feature special equipment, ramps and swings for children of all physical abilities. The Playground, an estimated $501,000.00 build out, will be financed by the City of Katy Parks and Recreation Department, community organizations and leaders, community businesses and corporations and families wishing to contribute to this community project. The completion of this project will offer recreational services and facilities to thousands of children and adults with multiple impairments within the City of Katy and Katy school district. For those wishing to become involved in the project or for more information, please contact the City of Katy Parks & Recreation Director, Jennifer Archer at 281-391-4840.
