What It Is:

The Wild West Brewfest (WWBF) is a Katy, Texas area community event conducted once a year and produced by the Katy Rotary Club.  Over 90 craft brewers from across the United States come to enter the Craft Beer competition and to serve event attendees with over 250 taps (in 2.5 oz mugs).  This is a Brewers Association of America sanctioned competition.  Local restaurants will serve an abundance of free food.

This is a two day event.  A “Launch Party” for Sponsors and VIP ticket holders is on Friday evening, May 1, and the BrewFest is all day and into the evening on Saturday, May 2, 2015.

Four bands alternate on two stages; one is 24’ and the lead stage is 32’.  Headlining on the large stage is Texas country western music star JT Hodges: http://www.jthodges.com.  There will be space to boot scoot in front of the stage. 

100% of net proceeds are used for community charitable support in the Katy Area with the majority used to support the youth in the Katy Independent School District.  No compensation is made to the organizer (the Katy Rotary Club) or the scores of volunteers who produce and manage this event.  It is a community, charitable fund raising project.

 

Why A Business Should Become A Sponsor:

It is a marketing/sales opportunity to be in front of thousands of attendees plus thousands of cars passing the event site.  The WWBF has obtained the following marketing to promote event attendance in order to showcase our sponsors:

·        WWBF is a member of the Brewers Association of America (BAA) – this is the only event in the Houston area conducted by a BAA member with sanctioned BJCP judging;

·        WWBF has signed Radio contracts with CBS, Cumulus, COX Media - reaching over 4.3 million listeners, who will be hearing our ad for our event 50 days prior to our festival;

·        WWBF has signed digital media contracts with the Houston Chronicle, COX, Cumulus, CBS, Beer Advocate, The Beer Pulse, Rate Beer with over 2.4 million impressions guaranteed;

·        WWBF is rated the second best Brewfest in the country right behind the Great American Brewfest in Denver (per www.beeryeti.com);

·        WWBF has signed traditional media contracts with the Houston Chronicle, Houston Press, Katy Times, Sweetwater Style, Community Impact Papers for Katy, Cy Fair and Cypress, and Katy Lifestyle -  all running 2 months either full page or half page ads as well as several press releases scheduled;

·        WWBF - Facebook page is adding over 100 likes a week, and exceeding 6,000 likes two months before the advertising has started. 

Past Year and Expected Current Year Attendance:

In 2014, the WWBF facilities were jam packed with more than 5,000 attendees filling up the 40,000 sq ft of space at the Villagio Town Center.  Hundreds of cars drove away due to the lack of adequate parking.  This forced a move to larger facilities.

The 2015 Brewfest will be in a 140,000+ sq ft area of Katy Mills Mall.  Katy Mills Mall is the Katy Area’s largest shopping mall with more than adequate parking.  The minimum expected attendance is 7,000 with likely attendance being 9,000 plus.

The Katy community has a mixed economic base with the largest majority being middle to upper income white-collar employees and professionals with disposable income.

Sponsorship Options Available as of February 25, 2015:

·        Lead Stage Sponsorship:  This stage is our largest stage at 32’ and it will be well lit.  It is the center for communications, announcements and our two lead bands.  This will be a hub of activity and guest participation from open to close.  Will be seen by every patron multiple times through the day and night.  This sponsor will also be recognized from the stage several times during the event.  Pricing:  One only at $10,000.  Sponsor provides or pays additional for “skins” with their name, logo and message that fits the stage.

·        Fence Sponsorship:  1,100 ft of fence facing inside to the event or facing outside to the parking lots and roads.   Pricing:  Facing inside at $2,000; Facing Outside at $3,000; or, Buy both at $4,000.  Sponsor provides or pays additional for “skins” with their name, logo and message that fits the fence.  In addition to attendees, this is a busy time for mall customers to drive past the fence.

·        Pint Glass Sponsorship:  This commemorative pint glass will emulate our logo along with your company’s logo and website etched using multiple colors on the glass.  Each VIP Hop House patron will receive one upon checking in.  These are one-of-a-kind commemorative glasses which will be kept for years by many.  Pricing: One only at $5,000.

·        Main Gate Entrance Truss:  Everyone who walks into the WWBF will see this business’s sign covering the Truss.  Pricing:  $5,000.  Sponsor provides or pays additional for “skins” with their name, logo and message that fits the Truss.

·        Water Sponsorship:  8,000 private labeled water bottles with the Water Sponsor’s Logo and contact information.  Pricing:  $3,600: (only 45 cents a bottle for Ozarka water with the sponsor’s private label.)

·        Booths:   Capture the attention of the attendees as they enter and exit the venue.  Pass out flyers, promotional pieces, and show your “stuff”.  Opportunity to hold a drawing in these 10’ x 10’ tents. Only 4 of 20 are left.  First come, first to acquire.  Pricing: $400 includes 2 general admission tickets.

Discounts will be made on combination purchases.  For example, purchasing the Truss and the fence would give tremendous coverage of the entire area.  Depending on the dollar amount purchased and availability, Sponsor will receive the following:

·        VIP tickets allowing holders entrance to the Launch Party and to the VIP Hop House.  2 tickets for every $1,000 of sponsorship.

·        Exhibition Tent (10’ x 10’) for Sponsorships of $5,000 or more.  Based on availability.

·        4 Event tickets for every $1,000 of sponsorship.
