Rotary Club of Katy Gives $60,000 to 21 Charities, Funded by Wild West Brewfest.
Today's grants bring the club's 2026–27 giving to $73,000 and its five-year total to more than $737,000
KATY, Texas — October 22, 2026 — The Rotary Club of Katy today presented $60,000 in grants to 21 nonprofits at its weekly luncheon. Every dollar was raised at the Wild West Brewfest (WWBF), the club's
signature fundraiser.
The grants reach neighbors across the Katy area: families who need a meal, veterans and first responders, children in foster care, students in Katy ISD classrooms, adults with disabilities and patients facing serious illness. For the Rotary Club of Katy, WWBF is not the goal. It is how the club pays for its service to the community.
"Rotary's motto is Service Above Self, and these grants are what that looks like in Katy," said David Loesch, Chairman of the Wild West Brewfest. "Every organization on this list is doing hard, important
work. We are proud that a day of great beer and good company turns into real help for the people they serve."
Where the Money Goes
Rotary Club of Katy grants support five areas of need:
• Hunger and families in need: Operation Turkey, Rise Against Hunger, Katy Christian Ministries, Feed the Hunger and Katy Responds.
